Come explore Lammassaari, a peaceful island right in the middle of the capital. Wooden boardwalks take us through reeds, wetlands, and quiet wooded paths—perfect for enjoying nature and spotting birds along the way. The 3.5 km route is easy and allows time to look, listen, and notice what’s around.

This island is full of birdlife. Depending on the season, we might see waterfowl, city birds, or marshland species, as well as raptors, songbirds and many others. There’s always something interesting to discover—even in a place that might seem familiar.

During the walk, an experienced guide will show how to watch birds (yes, it’s a whole new science!), what to pay attention to, and how to tell different species apart. You’ll hear fun facts and useful tips to make birdwatching more enjoyable, whether you’re just starting out or already have some experience. Binoculars and scope use are included in the price.

It’s a great way to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with nature right here in Helsinki.
